Hello Darkness, My Old Friend (I’ve come to talk with you again)
Born in Japan & raised in NJ, Tokyo-based artist Madsaki returns for his first NYC solo exhibition at Perrotin Gallery “Hello Darkness, My Old Friend (I’ve come to talk with you again)” which opens tomorrow. Using spray paint, Madsaki creates his own mad, mad world, mixing childhood memories, history and cultural icons such as Picasso, the Ramones, George Washington, and McDonald’s.
